Salvage Report reveals hidden damage and Mileage discrepancy.
Our client was interested in buying this Cat N Seat Leon which was listed on eBay. Our client purchased our full report which includes salvage auction image check, vehicle history check and in-house damage report.
She was particularly interested in the damage sustained as the listing stated that no repairs had been carried out, and that the external damage visible in the listing to the rear wing and rear bumper was the only damage sustained.
Despite the damage, the vehicle came with a post accident MOT, our client was also concerned that MOT records recorded just 2000 miles between MOT’s, on what was a high mileage vehicle.
No salvage auction images were available for this vehicle as it had not been sold via auction, however after a search of our in-house data we were able to provide important information.
Our in-house data confirmed that the eBay listing of the external damage was correct, however it didn’t record internal damage to the rear panel. Additionally a wheel alignment report was available which confirmed a misalignment of the rear suspension was the primary reasoning for the insurer deeming the vehicle uneconomical to repair.
Furthermore, the wheel alignment report recorded the mileage 17,000 miles higher than listed on the eBay Advert.
